Bulilt by Alco-Brooks in September of 1912 as CEI 2-8-2 Mikado #1902, the loco served as power for passenger and freight trains during its days of service. It was finally sold for scrap to Briggs & Turivas in March of 1950 when diesels took over the duties. Original specs - N-1 class, 63" drivers, 175 psi boiler pressure, 28x30" cylinders, engine weight of 300,000 lb, tractive effort of 55,533 lb. This is a W.C. Whittaker photo. |
